FAQ

Frequently asked questions

Answers to common questions about working with us.

Is LA Israel a law firm?

No. LA Israel is a service provider for legal and business work: delivery and service of documents, business outreach, locating individuals, information gathering, searches, filing and paperwork. We do not provide legal advice or legal representation, which are provided only by licensed lawyers.

How do I start?

Send us a short description through the contact form: what needs to be done, where and by when. We will reply with the next steps.

How are fees set?

Most services are quoted per task, such as a delivery, a search or a report, and larger projects are quoted once the scope is agreed. The fee is agreed with you before work begins.

Do you work with clients outside Israel?

Yes. Many of our clients are lawyers and companies abroad who need something done in Israel. Work is coordinated by email and video call, and documents can be sent to us electronically.

Can you serve documents for proceedings outside Israel?

Yes. We serve documents from foreign proceedings on recipients in Israel and provide an affidavit of service. Tell us the country of the proceedings and any requirements of the foreign court, so the proof is prepared in the right form.

Do you work with lawyers?

Yes. Much of our work is done for law firms, which use us for service of documents, filing runs, locate work and searches on their files. Clients who come to us directly work with their own lawyer on the legal side of their matter.

Is what I send you kept confidential?

Yes. Documents and information you share with us are handled in confidence and used only for the task. Our privacy policy explains how contact form messages are stored and used.
